Live Streaming & Second Screen Production
Procella Media produces multi-platform live streams with interactive second screen experiences from Los Angeles. One production reaches every platform your audience watches simultaneously, with real-time multilingual captions and companion content that extends the broadcast beyond the video player.
Multi-platform delivery
Procella Media delivers a single live production simultaneously to multiple streaming platforms through professional RTMP and HLS outputs. Contribution feeds arrive over SRT for stable, resilient transport from venues and remote sites, and our centralized Los Angeles datacenter — M3 Ultra Mac Studios on 10 Gbps fiber — handles encoding and distribution.
Streaming to several platforms at once means one production budget serves your entire audience, wherever they watch. Each output is encoded to the destination's specifications, so the stream that reaches a social platform, a custom player, or an embedded page looks the way that platform expects.
Multilingual live captions
Procella Media provides AI-assisted real-time captions in more than 40 languages for live streams and events. Captions are generated as the event happens — not transcribed afterward — so international viewers and viewers who are deaf or hard of hearing follow the program at the same moment as everyone else.
The captions are styled to match your production rather than defaulting to generic overlay text, and they integrate with major streaming platforms so viewers can enable them in the player they already use. For organizations with global audiences, this turns a single English-language production into a broadcast dozens of language communities can follow live.
Live captioning also strengthens accessibility compliance for public-facing events and makes stream archives searchable after the fact.
Second screen experiences
Second screen experiences give your audience interactive companion content that runs alongside the live stream on a phone or browser. Instead of passively watching, viewers can follow supplementary information synchronized to the program — the stream becomes the anchor of a larger interactive event.
Because we build our own production software in TypeScript, React, and Node.js, second screen content can be driven by the same live data that feeds the broadcast, staying in step with what is on screen.
Production quality
Every stream is produced to broadcast standards: multi-camera switching, professional graphics, and lower thirds that are automated through our custom software when automation makes the show tighter. Live data and scoring integrations bring real-time information into the program without a graphics operator retyping it.
Alongside the live output, we record up to 12 simultaneous ISO channels in ProRes 422 HQ to NVMe storage with frame-accurate timecode, so post-production starts from full-quality masters of every camera — not a screen recording of the stream.
Frequently asked questions
Which platforms can you stream to simultaneously?
We deliver simultaneous RTMP and HLS outputs to major streaming platforms — the same platform types as YouTube, Facebook Live, and LinkedIn Live — as well as custom players and embedded website destinations. If a platform accepts a standard RTMP or HLS feed, we can stream to it.
Do captions work for live events?
Yes. Captions are generated in real time during the event using AI-assisted transcription and translation in more than 40 languages, and they are delivered through the platforms your viewers are already watching on.
Can you produce streams outside Los Angeles?
Yes. We work on site across Los Angeles and Southern California, and we produce events nationwide through remote (REMI) workflows — cameras and crew at your venue, with switching, graphics, and encoding handled from our Los Angeles facility. See REMI production for how that works.
